Contribute to maximizing store profitability by supporting stockroom operational needs and delivering a flagship stockroom model for consumers. Maintain an effective and organized stockroom and logistical environment, and execute store operations with particular focus on product flow to and from the store, sales floor, and back of house.
Key responsibilities
- Be aware of store sales and KPI targets, as well as individual performance targets, take ownership of them, and effectively use all available store resources to meet or exceed them.
- Use retail and commercial expertise to maximize sales opportunities by prioritizing merchandise flow to the sales floor.
- Use BI reports to prioritize top sellers and Black Hole items to drive back-of-house productivity and push product to the floor quickly.
- Be a role model for stockroom operations and complete deliveries quickly and accurately while adhering to stock protection procedures.
- Complete weekly cycle counts to resolve negatives on weekly reports with management approval.
- Accurately record and manage all inter-store and warehouse inventory movement in a timely manner, ensuring shipments received are posted, inbound items are resolved, and discrepancies are handled accordingly.
- Monitor the back-of-house schedule and planner against shipment delivery schedules and collaborate with management.
- Ensure adequate supplies for an effective stockroom environment and continually maintain the stockroom and surrounding areas.
- Comply with store policies and procedures to maintain a safe shopping and working environment.
- Identify improvement opportunities and communicate suggestions to store management to drive commercial success.
- Guide and train selected store team members on basic stockroom processes and behaviors.
- Collaborate productively and respectfully with team members and support other team members when needed.
- Complete applicable training programs and apply learning on the job.
- Seek coaching and learning opportunities to continually improve performance.

Required education and experience
- 2–4 years of retail experience in a commercially focused retail environment, with stockroom knowledge and an understanding of the retail industry.
- Intermediate numeracy and literacy and advanced verbal communication skills.
- Matric Certificate.
