Essential Job Functions
- Feed machines and set up and operate automated and robotic welding machines.
- Monitor and set up machinery for optimal performance.
- Sand, grind, and deburr metals.
- Work with hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
- Perform quality and visual inspections of final welds.
- Assemble and fabricate metal structures according to work specifications.
- Read and interpret process diagrams and blueprints.
- Load machines safely and efficiently with required parts and identify issues.
- Participate in the Continuous Improvement Program.
- Successfully pass assessment testing.
- Knowledge of welding, gluing, metal finishing, ultrasonic weld inspection, weld destruct, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, metal processing, or data processing is preferred.
Technical Lead Responsibilities
- Communicate, improve, and monitor standards.
- Test and adapt SAB and ASB timelines.
- Coordinate absence planning, including vacation and free shifts.
- Execute one-point lessons in coordination with E5.
- Organize and execute shift organization according to local regulations.
- Supervise and adapt SOS and marking or inscription.
- Establish rotation plans and ensure adherence.
- Guarantee and execute product quality checks.
- Maintain boards with indicators and process folders.
- Follow measurements and escalate via E5 when necessary.
- Monitor adherence to team targets.
- Initiate and regulate problem-solving processes and error responses.
- Develop and update the qualification matrix with the team.
- Perform rework in the close environment.
- Complete corrective action processes, including error analysis, allocation, remedial action, and efficacy testing.
- Support Q-Stop activities.
- Check employees' adherence to standards.
Qualifications
- Completed MBV Team Leader Training Program.
- Knowledge of Body Shop operations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Required: 4+ years of relevant experience; or a relevant certificate plus 3 years of relevant experience; or a relevant associate degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.
- Preferred: 5+ years of relevant experience; or a relevant certificate plus 4 years of relevant experience; or a relevant associate degree plus 2 years of relevant experience.
