Your Role
As a Power BI Lead at Capgemini, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI. You will work with business stakeholders, data teams, and technology partners to transform complex requirements into scalable analytics platforms, actionable insights, and modern reporting solutions.
You will drive architecture decisions, reporting strategy, data modeling standards, governance frameworks, and modernization initiatives, helping organizations migrate legacy reporting and analytics processes into modern, scalable, and automated Power BI environments.
Responsibilities & Scope
- Power BI Architecture & Strategy: Define Power BI architecture, reporting strategy, visualization standards, governance practices, and performance optimization approaches.
- Data Modeling & Analytics Solutions: Design enterprise-grade dimensional data models and reusable semantic models using star schema, snowflake schema, normalized, and denormalized structures.
- Data Transformation & Modernization: Lead migration of legacy reporting, Alteryx workflows, and Excel-based processes into Power Query solutions, Power BI datasets, and automated reporting workflows.
- Dashboard Development & Performance Optimization: Lead dashboard and report development while optimizing DAX measures, calculated columns, Power Query transformations, data refresh, and dataset architecture.
- Governance, Security & Deployment: Implement row-level security, workspace security, dataset governance, access management, deployment standards, CI/CD processes, version control, and release management.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Gather requirements, define reporting strategies, translate business needs into technical roadmaps, mentor Power BI developers and analysts, and collaborate with data and business teams.

- Advanced experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, dataflows, datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and reporting.
- Expertise in star schema design, dimensional modeling, data normalization and denormalization, data architecture, and advanced Power Query development.
- Experience migrating Alteryx workflows to Power BI-based solutions.
- Advanced DAX skills and experience optimizing measures, calculated columns, data models, refresh processes, and query performance.
- Experience implementing row-level security, data governance frameworks, reporting standards, and workspace administration.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, release management, deployment pipelines, and lifecycle best practices.
- Strong requirements gathering, business analysis, and executive stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Snowflake, and Databricks.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, BI modernization, digital transformation, enterprise data governance, and Microsoft Power BI certifications is preferred.
