Job description

For our Global Markets Division (GMD) in Frankfurt, we are looking for an Associate / Vice President Sales Global Markets Division (FI Sales Flow Generalist) (m/w/d) to join our 35-person team serving institutional clients in the DACH region.

As an Associate / Vice President in the FI Sales team, you will support the sale of relevant GMD products to institutional clients in Germany, Austria and selected regions of Switzerland.

Responsibilities

  • Identify customer needs and develop suitable capital-markets solutions and recommendations in close cooperation with the German coverage team and sales colleagues in other locations.
  • Prepare market analyses and product presentations.
  • Provide market information, trading ideas and relative-value analyses for interest-rate products.
  • Work with the trading desk on pricing and structuring solutions for customer needs.
  • Support the preparation of customer discussions, visits and meetings, and participate in them.
  • Act as a contact for Middle- and Back-Office enquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, finance, mathematics or a related field.
  • Five to seven years of professional experience in fixed-income sales or trading, or a related capital-markets function.
  • Strong knowledge of interest-rate markets, yield curves, duration and convexity.
  • Knowledge of interest-rate derivatives, including swaps, swaptions, caps and floors.
  • Confident use of Bloomberg, Excel and relevant trading platforms.
  • Existing institutional-client relationships.
  • Understanding of US Federal Reserve policy and macroeconomic factors.
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong process and service orientation.
  • Team-oriented, networked thinking and solution-oriented action.
  • Willingness to visit customers domestically and occasionally engage with other trading centres.
  • Fluent German and English.
