As Assistant Designer (Health & Beauty), you will work closely with Primark’s Buying and Merchandising teams to translate trends into strong, fashion-forward, commercial and global product ranges.
What You’ll Do
- Trend Research & Insights: Research emerging fashion, beauty and lifestyle trends and translate insights into commercially relevant product ideas.
- Range Development: Support the creation of trend-led, customer-focused product ranges with Design, Buying and Merchandising teams.
- Product & Packaging Design: Assist with product development, range building and packaging design.
- Presentations & Design Administration: Prepare trend boards, design presentations and supplier-facing materials while maintaining accurate design documentation.
- Commercial Analysis: Monitor product performance, market trends and competitor activity to help shape future collections.
- Project Coordination: Manage critical path deadlines, product updates and cross-functional communication.
Key Interactions
You will report directly to a Designer and work closely with Primark’s Buying, Merchandising and Design teams across product categories. You will also represent your categories on working groups and forums.

What You’ll Bring
- At least two years’ experience in a Trainee or Assistant Designer role.
- A degree in fashion design or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
- Good business acumen and a genuine interest in retail.
- Accuracy, a proactive approach and excellent planning skills.
- Strong communication skills, positive energy and an innovative mindset.
