Roles & Responsibilities

Main Task Description

• Coordinate design data analysis and change processes remotely.
• Liaise with construction and design engineers to confirm data correctness.
• Maintain required documentation in a central repository.
• Manage risks and issues affecting project deliverables.

Qualifications

B.Tech, B.E., M.Tech, or M.E. in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial, Production, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.

Relevant knowledge includes NX CAD design tools, automotive product development processes, vehicle systems, concept design, plastic and sheet-metal part design, material selection, tolerance stack-up, tooling, DFM, DFA, vehicle regulations, BOM and configurations, engineering change workflows, PDM/PLM tools, simulation results, and 2D and 3D drawings.

Experience with NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA, materials and manufacturing processes, automotive or similar domains, brackets design, manufacturability, durability testing, and EV market trends is required. German proficiency is an advantage.

Project Responsibilities

• Create sheet-metal and plastic brackets considering weight, safety, space, cost, DFM, assembly, quality, and tolerance requirements through final assembly.
• Design brackets, trays, enclosures, grommets, and other components supporting wiring harnesses and electrical-module packaging.
• Select suitable materials based on surrounding parts and geometry.
• Develop robust solutions meeting Mercedes-Benz standards.
• Support vehicle-build phases from concept through production, design reviews, suppliers, manufacturing, and engineering collaboration.
• Manage project timelines, escalations, stakeholder communication, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Drive collaboration across MBRDI with BTV, CAx, PDM, MO, styling, design, CAE, and manufacturing teams.
• Take ownership of assigned work, improve processes, and contribute innovative ideas.
