Atos is seeking an Application Developer in Phoenix, US.
The role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in mainframe development and production support projects, with strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.
Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 production support for mainframe applications.
- Monitor batch jobs and resolve job abends, failures, and application issues within SLA timelines.
- Handle Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management activities.
- Perform detailed root cause analysis for recurring production issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and scheduling tools.
- Coordinate with business users, onsite teams, and cross-functional support teams for issue resolution.
- Lead Major Incident Management and bridge calls for critical production outages.
- Execute emergency fixes, production deployments, and validation activities.
- Drive automation initiatives and process improvements to improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare technical documentation, support runbooks, and knowledge management artifacts.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
- Participate in on-call and weekend support rotations as required.
