The Risk and Permanent Control (RPC) department proposes risk levels to the Bank’s governance and ensures that activities remain consistent with strategic objectives. Within the Corporate and Structured Sectors (SCS) department, you will join a team of analysts responsible for Corporate and Structured financing in the Transport sectors, including aviation, maritime and rail.
Supervised by Senior Analysts, your responsibilities will focus on analysing the risks of groups, counterparties and transactions proposed mainly by the business lines.
Responsibilities
- Analyse requests from sales teams in France and internationally.
- Write, mainly in English, reasoned opinions based on financial documentation, financial and non-financial due diligence, including ESG considerations, commercial and tax reviews, business-line reports, sector studies and discussions with the business, Senior Analysts and other bank colleagues.
- Present your opinion to management and participate in the Bank’s credit committees.
- Ensure the consistency of internal ratings for groups and counterparties proposed by the business lines with internal methodologies.
- Participate in cross-functional projects, including methodology updates, backtesting, strategy reviews and portfolio reviews.
- Exchange with business-line teams in France and abroad, Credit, Country and Sector Analysts, and colleagues from Coverage, Compliance, Finance and Methodology.
- Enter and verify information in Phidias, Eurecca and Anadefi, and monitor anomalies identified by RPC services.
Profile
Postgraduate degree (MA, MSc, PhD, doctorate or equivalent), ideally from a leading business school or university. A first experience in first- and/or second-level risk analysis within a corporate and investment bank is desirable, particularly in structured finance.
Required skills include knowledge of banking techniques and products, strong financial analysis, writing, analytical and synthesis abilities, and legal knowledge relating to credit and guarantees. Rigor, organization, autonomy, initiative, teamwork, interpersonal and negotiation skills are also expected. Proficiency in office tools is required; knowledge of Anadefi or Phidias is an advantage. Fluent English is required.
