Analyste ESG Advisory - Sustainable Banking H/F

The Sustainable Banking team, within the Coverage department, brings together professionals with advanced expertise in sustainable finance. The team supports the bank's business lines worldwide in originating and executing sustainable finance transactions across asset classes including bonds, loans and securitisation.

You will collaborate with different Business Lines to advise corporate, financial institution and public-sector clients on sustainable finance issues. You will gain responsibility quickly and be exposed to a wide range of ESG topics.

Main responsibilities

• Analyse ESG ratings and their role in financial markets.
• Monitor changes in ESG rating methodologies.
• Study how investors use ratings and present their role in Green, Social, Sustainability and Sustainability-Linked Bond issuance and capital markets more generally.
• Monitor sustainable finance developments, including European regulation, scientific reports on climate and biodiversity, and ESG controversies.
• Prepare discussion materials and commercial proposals for prospects and contribute to client mandates.
• Analyse clients' needs regarding their overall ESG strategy and ESG ratings.
• Analyse clients' ESG communications and identify possible areas for improvement.
• Conduct sector-based ESG analyses.
• Support clients in incorporating ESG into their activities and investor relations.
• Help the team address client needs in sustainable finance advisory.
• Assist the team with transversal tasks.

Profile

Education: University, business school or engineering school.

Specialisation: Strong interest in socially responsible investment, sustainable development and/or the environment, as well as consulting. Initial experience in finance, sustainable development or consulting would be appreciated.

Hard skills: Strong interest in responsible finance, extra-financial analysis skills, advanced command of PowerPoint, Excel and Word, and fluency in French and English.

Soft skills: Analytical mindset, rigour, autonomy and initiative.
