Capgemini Global Insights & Data is a market leader in data engineering, cloud data platforms, data science, and AI and advanced analytics across multiple sectors. This role will help grow data, AI, and data science engagements across Australia and New Zealand while shaping and delivering complex client projects and programs.
Role responsibilities
We are seeking an AI Delivery Lead to lead the successful delivery of AI and Generative AI programs across enterprise clients. The role owns end-to-end delivery, including mobilisation, execution, governance, risk management, and value realisation.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of AI, including agentic AI and GenAI, engagements from initiation through production deployment and ongoing optimisation.
- Lead complex, multi-team programs spanning data engineering, AI/ML, GenAI, agentic AI, data platforms, and data security.
- Establish delivery governance, milestones, cadence, and reporting in line with Capgemini’s delivery excellence framework.
- Manage delivery risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring early intervention and mitigation.
- Ensure solutions are production-ready, scalable, and supportable in partnership with engineering, MLOps, LLMOps, and platform teams.
- Act as the primary delivery interface for senior client stakeholders.
- Lead and inspire cross-functional teams including data engineers, AI engineers, solution architects, UX, and change specialists.
- Coach junior delivery managers and scrum masters.
- Work with strategic cloud and AI technology partners including Azure, AWS, GCP, OpenAI, Databricks, Anthropic, and Mistral.
Required skills and experience
- 8+ years of experience in data program delivery, including 5+ years delivering AI, advanced analytics, or GenAI initiatives.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale AI solutions into production.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms and AI ecosystems such as Azure, AWS, GCP, and OpenAI or similar.
- Deep understanding of agile, scaled agile, and hybrid delivery models.
- Strong financial, commercial, and risk management capabilities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Consulting or professional services experience is strongly preferred.
