Accounting Controller - Private Equity & Real Estate Solutions H/F

Within the Private Equity & Real Estate Solutions (PERES) department, you will join the Fund Accounting team, responsible for the accounting of investment funds and their related entities, including GPs, Soparfis and Holdings.
As a Fund Accounting Controller, you will review and validate work performed by Accountants and take ownership of complex client files, preparing accurate financial statements for Alternative Investment Funds and/or commercial companies in compliance with internal procedures and applicable accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Management & Review
- Support PERES Accountants in onboarding new clients and analysing their business activities.
- Monitor client onboarding, including migrations and structural changes.
- Review Management Fees, Performance Fees and Arrangement Fees calculations.
- Review CACEIS invoices.
- Review and validate financial statements prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal procedures.
- Ensure the production and supervision of complex accounting records.
- Assist with financial and regulatory reporting.
- Maintain relationships with clients and external auditors during account reviews and audits.
- Support Accountants with daily activities and complex accounting issues.
Accounting Review & Control
- Perform full reviews of accounting files and documentation.
- Contribute to accounting and financial training for team members.
- Participate in designing, implementing and deploying internal accounting controls.
Organisation of Accounting Activities
- Monitor deadlines across assigned portfolios.
- Support the integration of new team members.
- Contribute to team competency development.
- Participate in analytical and ad hoc accounting projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Audit, Accounting or Finance.
- Three to five years of experience in fund accounting or a similar environment, preferably in Private Equity and/or Real Estate.
- Experience reviewing complex accounting files.
- Knowledge of investment funds, securities and Private Equity/Real Estate structures.
- Accounting and tax expertise, including IFRS and Lux GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of BOB50 and/or GP is an advantage.
- English is mandatory; French, German or Spanish is a plus.
